Quepos and San José Flights Each Way $45

Estrella Tour makes it easy to book Sansa flights by doing it for you. Sansa, a small regional airline owned by Grupo Taca, operates numerous daily flights to Quepos from San Jose. Passengers depart San Jose from the Juan Santamaria International Airport's domestic terminal, located 14 miles from the city center.

In Quepos, passengers use the Quepos regional airfield, located approximately 3 miles from the Quepos village center. A mini-van meets the flight at the airfield and brings passengers into the village for $3 per person and on to Manuel Antonio's hidden hotels for $5 per person.

Passengers must call or drop by SANSA's offices at any of the company's destinations to reconfirm their flight reservations at least 24 hours prior to flight departure. SANSA may cancel reservations for passengers who have not presented themselves at the airport airline counter 30 minutes prior to flight departure. A picture ID is required at check-in. There is a 12 kilogram per person luggage limit (26 1/2 pounds). Passengers exceeding the limit will be charged an additional fee at the airport if the pilot is able to allow the additional weight onboard. The folks at Estrella Tour can oftentimes arrange a small surfboard (less than 5' 6") to be brought onboard at no additional charge. Passengers with a longer surfboard, bicycle, kayak or heavy luggage can still fly to Quepos and have their heavy items brought by Transportes Vega to Quepos hotels and rental homes for a nominal fee.
